As a new first-time mum to a daughter born in 2023, I experienced firsthand the unexpected challenges that come with childbirth and early parenthood. My childbirth journey was far from what I had envisioned, leaving me to navigate numerous mental and physical hurdles I wasn’t prepared for. Despite having a loving and supportive network of family and friends, the initial stages of parenthood felt isolating and daunting. I quickly realised and appreciated that for many parents, especially those without a strong support system, these struggles are even more profound and overwhelming.

After encountering several difficult situations while trying to find suitable places to care for my baby outside the home, I felt a strong need to create a resource that provided this. This led to the birth of Chooky Egg, a review platform designed to help you discover family-friendly establishments with essential childcare facilities.

My goal is to encourage new parents to venture out confidently, enjoying quality time with friends and family without the added stress of inadequate amenities. Chooky Egg is more than just a review site; it’s a community that empowers parents to share their experiences and support each other in navigating the often unpredictable journey of parenthood.
